			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>When I was younger, no matter what the weather &#8211; I&#8217;d be wearing a cap. It became a kind of obsession, I refused to go out of the house without a cap. To be honest, It wasn&#8217;t just out of the house, even inside I wanted to keep the cap on but my parents would usually give me a hard time for that. I don&#8217;t know what it is about hats but they gave me a sense of security and they have practical benefits like keeping the sun out of my eyes!</p>
<p>For my teenage years, when I was out chasing girls, I pretty much gave up my hat obsession. Many girls seem to associate caps with anti social youths &#8211; not a good image when you&#8217;re trying to get lucky and find the girl of your dreams. It took some adjustment but I did feel better for letting go.</p>
<p>Now I&#8217;m getting on a bit and my hair is thinning, I&#8217;m back to my hat loving times. But I look for more practical hats now days which fit with the clothes I&#8217;m wearing, the location I&#8217;m in and the weather of course. It&#8217;s more of a utility than a fashion statement or confidence booster.</p>
